MSU's commencement speaker is Magic

Magic Johnson will be a speaker at Michigan State's commencement ceremonies next month at the Breslin Center and receive an honorary doctor of business degree, the school announced Tuesday.

Johnson famously led Michigan State to the 1979 NCAA championship, beating Larry Bird and Indiana State in the title game before going on to a Hall of Fame NBA career and finding success as an entrepreneur.

Two days before he speaks, Johnson is scheduled to be on campus taping a segment of "Homecoming" with Rick Reilly for ESPN, talking about Michigan State in front of his former teammates, coaches, friends, family and fans.
