MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Kansas State is in perfect position to pull off the upset.

And Kansas is in perfect position to put a stranglehold on the Big 12 standings.

Both teams have to like -- and dislike -- where they are at halftime. Kansas leads 31-30, which means it's a wide-open second half, but both sides left some points on the floor in the first half.

Kansas was just 6-of-11 at the foul line and missed some bunnies. Kansas State got just 4-of-15 shooting in the first half from its backcourt of Jacob Pullen and Denis (I Like Shots) Clemente.

Two guys to watch in the second half: KU guard Sherron Collins, a big-game player, was just 2-of-7 and scored only four points. See if he lights up. And for the Wildcats, watch forward Jamar Samuels. He played just five minutes because of foul trouble, scoring five points. He should play almost all of the second half.
