Sophomore guard Aaron Dotson said Thursday he has signed with Utah after transferring from LSU.
Dotson, a Seattle native, wrote in a text message he would sit out next season due to transfer rules rather than apply for a waiver that would grant him immediate eligibility. He said last month that transferring to a school closer to home was best for him because of his mother, who was diagnosed with breast cancer.
The 6-foot-4 Dotson averaged 6.8 points and led the Tigers in 3-point percentage, shooting 37 percent this season. He played in all 32 games and made 21 starts.
