Tournament Challenge update

3/21/2013

After the first eight games of the NCAA tournament, there are just a bit more than 448,000 perfect brackets out of 8.15 million entered remaining, that works out to be 5.5 percent.

There were just two upsets in the early games. No. 12-seeded Oregon had the biggest upset of the afternoon (at least according to seed) in beating 5-seed Oklahoma State. However, 41.7 percent of brackets picked the Ducks, far more than the 31.9 percent that picked 9-seed Wichita State to beat 8-seed Pittsburgh.

Overall, 13.7 percent of brackets picked both Oregon and Wichita State to win today.
