The Wildcats, who had won the league's regular-season title, had to settle for a spot in the National Invitation Tournament and Session didn't react in the way that his coaches wanted.
"My attitude towards losing just couldn't be tolerated, and after the Montana loss I acted in an immature way and didn't bounce back fast enough and get ready for the NIT," Session said. "I just felt as though it was my fault and I made huge changes in my attitude throughout the year but it just wasn't enough."
Session, who said that his time playing for the Wildcats "was hands down the best time of my life," took the loss hard and posted on his Facebook page that he didn't care about the NIT and was ready to go home.
