Cal State Northridge suspends player

January, 30, 2010
Cal State Northridge coach Bobby Braswell has already had a tough season, recently missing two games to be with his ailing son.

On Friday, he suspended second-leading scorer Lenny Daniel indefinitely for attitude and conduct detrimental for the team, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.

It was only a week ago when Daniel averaged a double-double in three Matadors victories, with Braswell during that stretch beginning to take time away from the team. For his efforts, the junior forward was named the Big West player of the week.

Braswell has since returned to the bench, but the defending Big West champions have lost three straight to fall to 7-13 and are in eighth place in the conference heading into tonight's game against UC Santa Barbara.
