Visits help ESPN 150 DT Keith Bryant
By Corey Long
ESPN 150 defensive tackle Keith Bryant (Delray Beach, Fla./Atlantic) has his top two schools.
The 6-foot-2, 295-pound senior said his parents’ input would impact his decision, which is why he thinks it’s important for them to see each campus.
Bryant, with parents in tow, visited the first of those schools over the past weekend.
Seeing Florida State football is nothing new to Bryant so this trip let him focus on other aspects of the school.
“I’ve been to FSU a bunch of times so I went around campus with my parents during the day and we had chance to speak with the academic advisors and meet the coaches,” Bryant said. “At night I got a chance to hang with the players and that was great.
“Overall I loved it. It was a great visit. I always have a good time there.”
Bryant says his relationship with FSU defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins is one of his best with any coach.
“Coach Haggins and I talk pretty much every other day,” Bryant said. “He’s a great guy.”
This weekend Bryant will take an official to Miami. Bryant says he’ll go to Tennessee on Jan 25. South Carolina also remains in the mix.
“Miami and FSU are my two top schools so I want my parents to see both places again and I want to see both places one last time,” Bryant said. “I might take an official somewhere on Feb. 1 but I’m not sure.”
Bryant will make his decision on signing day as part of ESPNU’s national signing day coverage.
