WR Krenwick Sanders back on the market
By Kipp Adams
What was in question for weeks now has been confirmed. Wide receiver Krenwick Sanders (Jesup, Ga./Wayne County) says he is no longer part of the University of Georgia’s recruiting class.
“Just a drastic change of plans,” Sanders said of his decommitment to Georgia.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound wideout originally committed to the Bulldogs in November, but little was heard from him ever since. No visits were taken to Athens, Ga., but he did check out Florida State earlier this summer. According to the three-star prospect, the Seminoles are one of the schools he still has interest in.
“Not saying this is where I plan on going, but FSU and South Carolina are the only two I've looked into so far,” Sanders said.
Georgia offered and received a commitment from Gilbert Johnson (Miami/Southridge) last month at the Mark Richt Camp, picked up another wide receiver commitment on Friday in four-star prospect Shakenneth Williams (Macon, Ga./Rutland), and is slated to get an official visit from its top remaining wideout target in ESPN 300 prospect Josh Malone (Gallatin, Tenn./Station Camp).
Georgia now has 14 commitments for the 2014 recruiting cycle.
