Trey Burke was named the Big Ten freshman of the week for the sixth time this season, the league announced Monday morning.

Burke picked up the honor after averaging 15.5 points, four assists and 3.5 rebounds last week in a win over Northwestern and a loss to Purdue. It is the fourth time he has won the award during conference play.

The Columbus, Ohio native has tied Indiana's Cody Zeller, who has also won it six times, but only twice since league play began.

Iowa's Matt Gatens and Purdue's Robbie Hummel shared the league's Player of the Week honors.
