Stoops: Preseason No. 1 'means nothing'

Once again, Oklahoma was the preseason pick by the media to win the Big 12, as the Sooners received 32 of 41 first-place votes. Head coach Bob Stoops, however, doesn’t give much credence to any preseason poll.
“It’s like last year being No. 1 -- it means nothing,” he said. “You have to go practice, play, get better, work and earn your way. And we’ve got a challenging, tough schedule.
“Do I like it? I could care less about it. Whether we’re that or 10th, it doesn’t much matter.”
