NORMAN, Okla. -- Filling a roster with multiple receiving threats is not easy. Oklahoma receivers coach Jay Norvell has done the job admirably since he arrived in 2008. Ryan Broyles became the NCAA's all-time receptions leader under Norvell’s mentoring, and the Sooners are coming off a season that saw four different receivers grab at least 45 receptions.
Yet, recruiting quality receivers is getting harder and harder for Norvell and the Sooners. NCAA bylaws limit contact with a recruit creating a major obstacle for coaches such as Norvell, who are looking to make decisions about who they want to pursue after in-depth evaluations.
