Ducks' commits' high school highlights

December, 10, 2012
The two members of Oregon's recruiting class that remained alive in their respective state playoffs came through for their teams again over the weekend. Ducks tight end pledge John Mundt (Modesto, Calif./Central Catholic) and running commit Dontre Wilson (DeSoto, Texas/DeSoto) each advanced in state playoff games.

Mundt helped the Raiders advance to the California Division IV State Bowl Game. Central Catholic will represent the CIF Northern California section when they take on Rancho Santa Fe (Calif.) Santa Fe Christian. Santa Fe Christian knocked another Oregon pledge, wide receiver Darren Carrington and Horizon Christian Academy, out of the CIF San Diego Section playoffs last month.

Mundt had two catches for 56 yards and a touchdown on offense as the Raiders cruised past Oakland (Calif.) McClymonds, 42-12, in the inaugural CIF Northern California Division IV Regional Bowl Game. The Raiders are 13-2 overall after the win. Central Catholic is riding an 11-game winning streak, with their closest margin of victory during the streak being a 19-point victory over Ripon (Calif.) High School in the opening round of the playoffs.
