Ohio Stadium will be ripe with top prospects on Saturday when the Buckeyes host arch-rival Michigan.
Jalen Tabor, however, will not be one of the them. The ESPN Watch List safety from Washington (D.C.) Friendship originally was scheduled to make the trip but will not, because his school has a game this weekend.
Tabor visited Maryland on Saturday, which was a rare trip for the junior prospect. Tabor hasn't taken many visits this fall.
Maryland lost to Florida State 41-14. The Terrapins are 4-7 and 2-5 in the ACC. Still, that's an improvement from last season, when the Terps finished 2-10.
"It's going the right way," Tabor said of Maryland's football program.
When asked about Maryland's move to the Big Ten that was announced this week, Tabor said, "It's a good move. It's a lot of revenue involved."
Tabor is a key target for the Terps. He is expected to be one of the highest-rated 2014 prospects in Maryland.
