PLAY: Matthew Stafford shrugs off Victor Butler and eludes Anthony Spencer as he rolls right and flips the ball to Jahvid Best for 24 yards and a first down to set up the Lions' first field goal of the game.

SITUATION: Cowboys ball, first-and-10 from Dallas 27 with 10:30 left in the third quarter
PLAY: Bobby Carpenter makes a leaping interception in the right flat on a pass intended for Dez Bryant, weaves his way through the Dallas offense and returns it 34 yards for a touchdown.

PLAY: Asking Frank Walker to cover Brandon Pettigrew is a difficult assignment, but Walker didn’t give the officials any choice when he yanked on the tight end's jersey to slow him down. The penalty gave the Lions an automatic first down instead of forcing them to settle for a game-tying field goal.

PLAY: Felix Jones, circling out of the backfield, drops a pass without a defender within 5 yards of him that would’ve gain at least 10 yards. More important, with the clock stopped Detroit brought rested personnel into the game.

SITUATION: Fourth-and-5 from the Dallas 18 with 6:30 left in the second quarter.
PLAY: Sav Rocca bobbles a slightly high snap from Nick Sundberg, giving Gerald Sensabaugh time to sprint off the edge and block Graham Gano's 36-yard field goal attempt.

Anthony Spencer runs down Redskins quarterback Rex Grossman before stripping him of the ball. Cowboys LB Sean Lee recovered, clinching the 18-16 victory.

PLAY: Kevin Ogletree bobbles a perfect pass in the corner of the end zone, giving Washington safety Oshiomogho Atogwe a chance to knock it away, and forcing Dallas to settle for a 41-yard field goal.

SITUATION: Fourth-and-7 from the Washington 41 with 13:10 left in the fourth quarter.
PLAY: Jason Garrett considered going for it because he had a play he liked. The Cowboys called a time-out and Garrett smartly opted to punt, pinning the Redskins at their 10. Dallas forced a punt after one first down and kicked a field goal on the ensuing possession.

SCORE: 16-15, Washington
SITUATION: Third-and-21 from the Dallas 30 with 2:20 left in the fourth quarter.
PLAY: The Redskins sent an all-out blitz, but Tony Romo rolled right to elude it and motioned Dez Bryant to run deep before lofting a pass. Bryant made a leaping catch at midfield and struggled for 10 more yards until DeAngelo Hall tackled him. A 15-yard facemask penalty moved the ball to the 25, setting up the game-winning field goal.

SCORE: 18-16, Dallas
SITUATION: Second-and-10 from the Washington 43 with :38 left in the fourth quarter.
PLAY: Rex Grossman, pressured out of the pocket by DeMarcus Ware, gets stripped from behind by Anthony Spencer. Sean Lee recovered at the Washington 40 to clinch the win.
