Stephen Jones, the executive vice president of the Cowboys, talked to KRLD-FM on Tuesday about a variety of topics.
The biggest thing we got out of this interview was Jones' stance on the wide receiver position.
"Not a pressing need," Jones said.
"Very comforable with our receiver situation here," Jones said.
On Hurd, who has yet to sign his tender contract, Jones said, "tremendous special teams player. If he ever had the opportunity he would be a tremendous receiver as well."
The Cowboys have brought in several wide receivers for workouts or visits at Valley Ranch such as Dez Bryant and are linked to Jordan Shipley, but after listening to Jones you get the feeling the Cowboys are just preparing themselves in case an opportunity presents itself to draft a wide receiver.
