July, 22, 2013
OXNARD, Calif. -- After the second day of training camp practices, the Dallas Cowboys have added a new name to the injury report.

*Anthony Spencer has a bone bruise that's not getting better. He missed Monday's practice session and said afterward he might need surgery. If Spencer has surgery he'll miss two to three weeks. Kyle Wilber took Spencer's place with the first-team defense at end.

*James Hanna missed Tuesday's practice with a strained hamstring. Hanna said he wants to practice but is being held out as a precaution. Gavin Escobar moved up to the first-team in the two-tight-end sets with Hanna out.

*Jay Ratliff also missed practice with a hamstring strain and his return is unknown.

* Nate Livings (foot), Ryan Cook, Ronald Leary (calf), Mackenzy Bernadeau (hamstring) and Demetress Bell didn't practice but each ran sprints during the afternoon practice session.

* L.P. Ladouceur (calf) also missed practice, but didn't run sprints. Ladouceur worked on the resistance bands.
Calvin Watkins joined in September 2009. He's covered the Cowboys since 2006 and also has covered colleges, boxing and high school sports.
