Brian Waters and Anthony Spencer inactive

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Cowboys have made newly signed guard Brian Waters inactive for Sunday night's game against the New York Giants.

Waters had just three practices after signing with the Cowboys to improve the depth along the offensive line. Yet, he's not ready to play.

Defensive end Anthony Spencer, wide receiver Cole Beasley, running back Lance Dunbar, safety Danny McCray, tackle Darrion Weems and defensive end Caesar Rayford are also inactive for the Cowboys.

Spencer was listed as doubtful on the injury report after not practicing due to his recovery from knee surgery. The Cowboys played coy with his availability for the game, but he hasn't practiced since July.

Giants inactives are quarterback Ryan Nassib, center David Baas, tackle David Diehl, tight end Adrien Robinson, defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins, defensive end Damontre Moore and defensive end Adewale Ojomo.
Calvin Watkins joined in September 2009. He's covered the Cowboys since 2006 and also has covered colleges, boxing and high school sports.
