IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys defensive end Anthony Spencer will be a game-time decision regarding his availability Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.

Spencer, who is returning from a surgically-repaired knee injury in training camp, did not practice Friday and is listed as questionable for the game. He practiced just once this week on a limited basis on Thursday. Coach Jason Garrett said it is a situation they will have to manage for most of the season.

With the field wet because of the rain, the Cowboys did not want to put Spencer at risk.

“He feels like he’s getting a little bit better, but he didn’t do much today,” Garrett said.

Defensive end DeMarcus Ware was limited for the third straight day with a stinger, but he is probable for the game.

Wide receiver Dez Bryant (back) and Morris Claiborne (shoulder) took part in a full practice for the first time this week and are listed as probable. Quarterback Tony Romo (ribs) is also probable.

Linebacker Ernie Sims will miss his second straight game with a groin injury.
