Every Monday we tell you who played well and who didn't from Sunday's game.
Jason Hatcher. The defensive tackle returned to the lineup after missing the last game with a stinger and recorded two sacks, two quarterback hurries and three total tackles. Hatcher also had the quote of the season after the game talking about how he ate a Giant after the game. Was he talking about Eli Manning?
Tony Romo. Romo threw for 250 yards and was sacked four times, but guess what? He was perfect on third down on the game-winning drive, 3-for-3, including a clutch 13-yard reception to Cole Beasley. Coach Jason Garrett talks about big-time players making big plays. Well, Romo made big plays on Sunday.
Orlando Scandrick. The swagger this man displays is unreal. When Morris Claiborne went down with a hamstring injury, Scandrick said he wanted to cover Victor Cruz the entire game. He did and held Cruz to two catches for 27 yards. One of Cruz's receptions was against zone coverage, but Scandrick never backed down from a challenge. Scandrick also forced a fumble and broke up a pass.
The run defense. Let's be honest, the Giants like to run the ball, but man, 202 rushing yards on 30 carries is way too much to give up. Brandon Jacobs -- 6-foot-4, 264 pounds -- ran off a 37-yard gain off the edge. Starter Andre Brown had runs of 16, 14 and 12 yards to pick up 127 on the day.
Ronald Leary. The starting left guard gave up a sack and had two penalties (false start and holding) called against him in the victory. It wasn't one of his better moments of the season because he's been pretty good, but this day was a long one for him.
Cameron Lawrence. Of the three special-teams penalties on Sunday, he was flagged twice. Lawrence was called for holding, negating a 25-yard kick return by Dwayne Harris. He was also penalized for an illegal block above the waist on a 21-yard kick return by Terrance Williams.
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The Dallas Cowboys are in first place in the NFC East again, though tied with the Philadelphia Eagles, after their dramatic win over the New York Giants.
