ARLINGTON, Texas -- There were no real surprises regarding the Cowboys' inactives with the exception of wide receiver Cole Beasley, who is dressing for the first time in two weeks.

Beasley was active for the regular-season opener at the New York Giants but wasn't the next two weeks. He was active for the Chicago game and had two catches for 14 yards.

Injuries and depth changes on special teams made him inactive the next two weeks.

With Beasley back on the game-day roster and No. 3 receiver Kevin Ogletree playing inconsistently, it will be interesting to see who gets more playing time.

The other Cowboys' inactives: Safety Charlie Peprah, safety Matt Johnson, linebacker Kyle Wilber, center Phil Costa and defensive end Sean Lissemore. The health of Johnson (hamstring), Costa (ankle) and Lissemore (ankle) are the main reasons they're out.

The Giants' inactives: Wide receiver Jerrel Jernigan, safety Kenny Phillips, linebacker Jacquian Williams, defensive end Adewale Ojomo, tackle James Brewer, tight end Adrien Robinson, defensive tackle Rocky Bernard.

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Cowboys will be missing four defensive starters against the Bears, who will have running back Matt Forte return from an ankle injury.

Outside linebacker Anthony Spencer joins nose tackle Jay Ratliff and Kenyon Coleman on the Cowboys' inactive list. Strong safety Barry Church was placed on injured reserve this week after undergoing surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon.

As late as Monday morning, the Cowboys planned for Spencer to play despite missing all of this week's practices due to a strained pectoral muscle. However, it was determined that the risk of Spencer aggravating the injury was too high. He is expected to play return after the Cowboys' upcoming bye week.

COWBOYS INACTIVES: P Chris Jones, S Matt Johnson, LB Alex Albright, C Phil Costa, NT Jay Ratliff, OLB Anthony Spencer, DE Kenyon Coleman

BEARS INACTIVES: FB Evan Rodriguez, G/C Edwin Williams, G/T Chris Williams, DT Matt Toeaina, WR Earl Bennett, DT Nate Collins, DE Cheta Ozougwu.

SEATTLE -- The Cowboys are dressing only four wide receivers today vs. Seattle after using all six in the season opener.

The Cowboys made the move in order to go heavier along the offensive and defensive lines. The team has preferred to use just seven offensive linemen on game day, but Derrick Dockery is active and every healthy defensive lineman is active.

The inactive players are Cole Beasley, Andre Holmes, Mario Butler, Matt Johnson, Kyle Wilber, Phil Costa and Jay Ratliff.

Cornerback Mike Jenkins will make his debut after missing the opener because of offseason shoulder surgery, and newly signed LeQuan Lewis is active to play a special teams role. Wilber (thumb) is healthy but the Cowboys chose to de-activate him in favor of deeper lines.

Seattle will be without left tackle Russell Okung, who is slowed by a bruised knee. He will be replaced by Frank Omiyale. Wide receiver Charly Martin, running back Kregg Lumpkin, safety Winston Guy, cornerback Jeremy Lane, guard James Carpenter and defensive tackle Jaye Howard are Seattle's other inactives.
