IRVING, Texas -- John Parry will be the referee for Sunday’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.

This will be the first time the Cowboys have seen Parry’s crew since a 19-13 loss to the Atlanta Falcons last year in Week 12. The Cowboys were penalized seven times for 50 yards and the Falcons had just two penalties for 15 yards. The crew was particularly rough on defenders with three illegal-contact penalties, a pass-interference penalty and two holding calls.

Parry worked the New York Giants-Chicago Bears game and the crew called 11 penalties with nine accepted. The Giants had four penalties for 31 yards and the Bears had five penalties for 51 yards.

IRVING, Texas – The Cowboys are coming off their second-best penalty performance of the season with only three for 10 yards against the New York Giants and get John Parry’s crew Sunday at Atlanta.

Last week Parry’s crew called just two penalties on visiting Seattle in its game at Detroit. The Lions had five penalties for 61 yards. Overall the crew threw 11 flags with seven accepted penalties.

The last time the Cowboys saw Parry’s crew came in Week 4 last year against the Lions. Detroit was penalized 10 times for 75 yards. The Cowboys had seven penalties for 33 yards. Three of those penalties were on the special teams’ unit.

IRVING, Texas -- John Parry’s crew will work Sunday’s game vs. Detroit after working the Denver-Tennessee game last week.

The last time Parry worked a Cowboys’ game came in Week 7 last year in a 41-35 loss to the New York Giants, which you might remember as when Tony Romo was lost for the year with a broken collarbone. The Cowboys were flagged just five times for 42 yards, while the Giants had six penalties for 46 yards. Six of the penalties were holding calls (five on offense, one on defense).

Last week, Parry’s crew had 12 penalties. The visiting Broncos were penalized once for 15 yards. The Titans had 11 penalties for 80 yards.
