Oklahoma guard Willie Warren, who led North Crowley to the Class 5A state championship in 2008, needs arthroscopic surgery on his injured right ankle and won't play again this season.
Warren is the leading scorer for the Sooners, who have lost their last seven games. Warren has missed the last four games, and he missed two in January when he first suffered the injury.
It has to be considered a disappointing sophomore season for Warren, who was touted as a potential lottery pick after being named Big 12 freshman of the year in 2009. But he chose to stay at Oklahoma, inheriting the role of the team's top gun from 2009 national player of the year Blake Griffin.
