DALLAS -- Houston quarterback Case Keenum is on his way to a memorable afternoon at the Cotton Bowl. Keenum is 30-for-46 for 380 yards and three touchdowns as the Cougars lead Penn State, 24-7, at halftime of the TicketCity Bowl.
Keenum, a senior from Abliene, Texas, has 155 touchdowns now in his career. He needs 180 yards to set a new personal career mark for passing yards in a game. His previous high was 559 against Southern Miss in 2009.
Penn State is just 2-for-10 passing for 55 yards and has four first downs. Houston has run 18 more offensive plays than the Nittany Lions.
Houston wide receiver Patrick Edwards has 200 yards on seven receptions with two touchdowns, including a 75-yard TD catch in the second quarter.
