Jeremiah George, LB, Iowa State: Iowa State needed a boost with Jake Knott out for the season with a shoulder injury. George provided that and more, racking up a career-high 17 tackles with a tackle for loss and a pass breakup. Thirteen of those 17 stops were solo tackles in the Cyclones' loss to Oklahoma. Without Allen Chapman's crazy night for K-State, George might have been the league's player of the week.
Josh Boyce, WR, TCU: Boyce earned more than half of his receiving yards on one game-changing play, but it was an incredibly unlikely play. He caught six passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns in TCU's 39-38 win over West Virginia on the road in double overtime. That overtime never would have been possible without Boyce's 94-yard touchdown catch in the final minutes. That was the third-longest play in TCU history.
James Sims, RB, Kansas: Sims shows up yet again in the Big 12 game balls, racking up 128 rushing yards on just 21 carries, an average of six yards a touch. He scored on a 59-yard carry in the loss to Baylor and became the first KU back since 1974 to rush for 100 yards in five consecutive games.
Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia: Austin caught 11 passes for 101 yards, his 12th 100-yard game of his career, the most in school history. His 76-yard punt return late in the fourth quarter looked likely to be the difference late in Saturday's loss to TCU, before Boyce's big grab happened. He also returned a kick 34 yards to help pace the WVU defense.
