Texas A&M nabs top hoops prospect
By Jeff Caplan
Texas A&M has landed one of the biggest fish in the nation right out of its own backyard pond. Bryan High School's J-Mychal Reese, a high-octane point guard and one of the nation's top overall prospects, has committed to the Aggies. He becomes the first commit for 2012 and the first pledge under new coach Billy Kennedy.
According to TexAgs.com, the 6-foot-2, ultra-quick Reese, who averaged 28 points as a junior playing just miles from the College Station campus, chose A&M over second-choice Kansas and virtually every other major program.
