Tracking the late Big 12 recruiting chases

By David Ubben

Our RecruitingNation staff broke down the Big 12 classes earlier this week, including players each program is still chasing. You'll need Insider to see it all, but here's their breakdown.

You'll find breakdowns of who's already in the fold, too. Baylor's class looks pretty balanced, but with some serious offensive firepower.

Iowa State's class has gotten a big boost from midterm enrollees who'll be suiting up this spring in Ames.

KU's class, as I'm sure you know if you've paid attention this offseason, is built with juco transfers, but the Jayhawks are definitely getting some talent upgrades.

K-State's doing what K-State does: mining the junior colleges and recruiting hard in-state for players who fit what K-State does on both sides of the ball. Could it steal a quarterback from Texas A&M?

Oklahoma is doing well at the skill positions, with a whole lot of ESPN 300 talent coming at running back and receiver.

Oklahoma State's recruiting class missed out on Laquon Treadwell, but has three solid receivers, along with some talent on the defensive line.

TCU reeled in two big-time four-star talents it might not otherwise have gotten without Big 12 membership. Looks like that's already paying off.

Texas is loading up its offensive line, headlined by Darius James, the nation's No. 1 center. That's going to make Texas' decent skill position talent look pretty good very soon.

Texas Tech's class has lost a lot, but it held on to solid quarterback Davis Webb. Can it re-earn a commitment from athlete Devin Lauderdale?

West Virginia's still basking in the glow of reeling in ESPN 300 receiver Shelton Gibson. You know he loved what Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin did in this offense. Our scouts write about WVU's efforts to keep him.

Check out the full breakdowns. Great stuff from our regional experts.
