Dallas Colleges: Kansas S
No. 1 Texas rallied from 13 down in the first half to force overtime and finally pull out a 72-67 win Saturday at home against Texas A&M.
The upcoming week certainly presents a stiff challenge for the Longhorns (17-0, 3-0). Texas won't have long to soak in the A&M win. It's a quick turnaround for a showdown Monday night at No. 12 Kansas State and then a long trip to cold Storrs, Conn., to face No. 15 UConn on its home court.
If Texas escapes that gantlet undefeated, it gets Texas Tech and Baylor at home the following week. Baylor might be a tougher matchup than K-State and UConn. If you haven't paid attention to the Bears, check out the numbers being put up by guards LaceDarius Dunn and Tweety Carter and double-double machine Ekpe Udoh. Scary good.
The Longhorns are bound to lose at some point. The question is, who's going to beat them?
