The 2014 Final Four, which is 150 days away from invading AT&T Stadium in Arlington, comes with plenty of activities for fans. That includes a three-day music festival, which the NCAA and North Texas Local Organizing Committee announced will take place on a grass field where Reunion Arena was demolished four years ago this month.
The festival is free and open to the public and has drawn as many as 150,000 people over three days in the past. The musical acts are expected to be announced in February.
As a part of the events in downtown Dallas that weekend:
* AT&T Block Party -- Friday, April 4 from 4 to 10:30 p.m.
* Coca-Cola Zero Countdown -- Saturday, April 5 from noon to 9 p.m.
* Capital One JamFest -- Sunday, April 6 from 3 to 10:30 p.m.
To give you an idea of the types of acts that perform, past performers have included Dave Matthews Band, Kenny Chesney, Sting, Jimmy Buffet, Zac Brown Band and others.
