IRVING -- Junior Siavii would start Sunday if NT Jay Ratliff is unable to play against the Seattle Seahawks.

"Junior played well last game," coach Wade Phillips said. "I think he's improved as we played each game, so I think he's ready to play. Of course, [defensive end Marcus] Spears can work in there and can do some good things."

Ratliff, who did not practice Friday, underwent treatment for swelling in his right knee after practice. He has two sacks and a team-leading five tackles for loss among his 31 tackles this season. He also is fourth on the team with 10 quarterback pressures.

  • Return man Allen Rossum missed practice with his pulled hamstring. Don't expect him back for a while.

  • The Cowboys worked on their red zone offense and defense Friday, which made practice a little longer.

  • The rock band Daughtry, visited the locker room at Valley Ranch following Friday's practice. Several of the band members visited with right tackle Marc Colombo and right guard Leonard Davis, who are in a rock band called Free Reign.
