IRVING -- Washington Redskins nose tackle Albert Haynesworth won't practice Wednesday because of a sprained ankle, and coach Jim Zorn isn't sure if the Pro Bowler will play Sunday vs. the Dallas Cowboys.

"His ankle is swollen and we're trying to get the swelling out," Zorn said on a conference call with reporters. "It's a low ankle sprain. He does have a chance. I truly don't know."

Haynesworth said he expects to play.

Starting running back Clinton Portis won't play vs. the Cowboys because he's still dealing with the effects of a concussion.

"I want him to get out there and practice," Zorn said of Portis. "We're going to continue to work with him. We're going to make sure this concussion does not reoccur and do everything we can to protect him until he comes back."
