IRVING -- There was a new name added to the practice report: Backup linebacker Victor Butler, who has a sprained knee.

Butler injured the knee in the Raiders game on Thanksgiving Day. He was limited during the walkthrough Monday. His status for the rest of this week is uncertain.

Jason Witten is doing OK with his sprained foot, but he has a new injury -- a bruised left hand. Witten is wearing a wrap on his hand and it doesn't appear to be an issue.

Ken Hamlin, with his right high-ankle sprain, could practice Wednesday. Coach Wade Phillips said Hamlin is on target to return this week. His status for Sunday at the Giants is uncertain.

"I dont know what to expect yet, I dont know for sure," Phillips said. "[The trainers] said this week he may be able to practice and that was last week so I don't know for Wednesday, we'll see."

Tony Romo's back is fine and isn't having any problems throwing.
