IRVING, Texas -- Cornerback Mike Jenkins responded with a mix of swagger and respect when asked about facing the New Orleans Saints' top-ranked offense.

"I love a challenge," Jenkins said. "I look forward to it. Guys like Drew Brees, I want to break those guys down. I want those guys to look at me. This is an opportunity game. That's how I see it.

"Any time you go into a game where you've got a lot of receivers that's potent and a quarterback that's awesome, it's an opportunity game. You can go in there and set your name for yourself."

Jenkins, a 2008 first-round pick, might be one of the NFL's most improved players. After an admittedly rocky rookie season, he has established himself as the premier playmaker in the Dallas Cowboys' secondary with a team-high four interceptions and 18 passes defensed.

Jenkins said this summer, before he even had secured a starting job, that his goal for the season was to be at least a Pro Bowl alernate. That's a possibility if he has a big game in an upset of the undefeated Saints.
