News & views: Practice schedule and injuries
As for the playoff game, coach Wade Phillips said, "I think it's a long shot for both of them."
A second playoff game, if necessary could bring Colombo and Watkins back to the lineup. Watkins was running with a brace on his left knee during the open media of practice on Thursday.
• The Cowboys practiced at Cowboys Stadium on Thursday but will either practice at Valley Ranch or an area high school on Friday.
"I wanted to practice in there this week for sure," Phillips said of Cowboys Stadium. "Because of the weather we might have gone indoors anyway today. I wanted to make sure we were flying around and get our timing down. The conditions are going to be good for the game."
• Kicker Shaun Suisham will make his second apperance at Cowboys Stadium on Sunday. Phillips also wanted Suisham to kick in the new palace. Suisham made a 54-yarder during the early stages of practice.
"He kicked the ball very very well today," Phillips said. "He didn't miss a kick, that was good."
• As far as planning purposes go for the postseason, if the Cowboys play next Saturday, Phillips will give the team Monday off because it will be a short week.
• It's New Year's Eve and the team has 8:30 a.m. meetings on Friday.
"You have to be here on time," Phillips said.
