As part of the Cowboys offseason plan, the team hosts Dallas Day at Valley Ranch.

It's designed to give players with local ties to the area, an opportunity to workout in front of the Cowboys scouts, coaches and front office personnel.

Wide receiver Patrick Crayton was discovered during a Dallas Day.

SMU was well represented at Dallas Day on Monday. Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, running back Shawnbrey McNeal, linebacker Chase Kennemer and defensive back Bryan McCann worked out.

Among other players with local ties scheduled to workout today were: Texas A&M safety Jordan Pugh (Plano West), Baylor center J.D. Walton(Allen), Oklahoma cornerback Brian Jackson(DeSoto), defensive tackle DeMarcus Granger (Kimball) and Adron Tennell (Irving).
Calvin Watkins joined ESPNDallas.com in September 2009. He's covered the Cowboys since 2006 and also has covered colleges, boxing and high school sports.
