Charity event at DeSoto high school

On Friday, DeSoto high school grad and current Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Ellis Hobbs will host a football alumni game.

The seven-on-seven game will highlight an entire day of fund raising. All proceeds of the event will benefit the DeSoto Eagle Special Olympics and Corey Borner Trust Fund.

The night starts at 5:30 p.m. with a Custom Car Show produced by Start 2 Finish Wheels in the parking lof of DeSoto high school, located at 600 Eagle Drive.

If you want to place a vehicle in the show please call (972) 274-1009. The registration includes admission to the alumni game which starts at 7:30 p.m.

There are several DeSoto grads playing in the NFL including Cowboys wide receiver Patrick Crayton.
