CANTON, Ohio -- Thus far, the Cowboys have suffered four injuries in its preseason opener against Cincinnati.

Newly-acquired tackle Alex Barron has a right-ankle sprain and his return against the Bengals is questionable.

The Cowboys traded linebacker Bobby Carpenter for Barron in the hopes of building more depth on the offensive line.

Also, backup tight end John Phillips is out with a right-knee injury. He was taken to the locker room for further evaulation. Another tight end Kevin Brock has a left-ankle sprain. His return is questionable.

Wide receiver Titus Ryan has a broken left thumb and will require surgery.
Calvin Watkins joined ESPNDallas.com in September 2009. He's covered the Cowboys since 2006 and also has covered colleges, boxing and high school sports.
