IRVING -- The Cowboys will get three players, Jason Witten, Sean Lee and Mike Jenkins, back for practice today.

Whether or not they will be limited or not isn't known.

However, the return of Witten (concussion), Lee (hamstring) and Jenkins (knee), is a confidence boost to a Cowboys team that is 0-2 to start the season.

Lee missed all of last week with his injury and getting him on the field helps the rookie linebacker's development.

There was a concern about Witten's ability to play because it wasn't known how quickly he would recover. Martellus Bennettwas in line to start should Witten miss the Houston game. But Bennett said he wanted Witten to play because the more playmakers the Cowboys have on the field the better.

Jenkins has a swollen knee, but an MRI revealed no ligament damage. Jenkins said he felt fine and expects to play on Sunday. During the open media portion of practice, Jenkins, who is wearing a sleeve, worked with associate athletic trainer Britt Brown on the exercise cords. After working on the cords, Brown and Jenkins went into the trainers room only to return five minutes later.

Jenkins then proceeded to practice with his teammates.
