IRVING -- Cornerback Terence Newman (ankle) returned to practice today after missing the first two days.

Newman, who injured the ankle in last week's victory over the New York Giants, is expected to play Sunday vs. the Detroit Lions.

"He's gotten some work in the walkthroughs," interim coach Jason Garrett said before practice of Newman. "So he's familiar with the looks but we’ll see if he can move around today and see how he does."

Nose tackle Jay Ratliff (calf), defensive end Jason Hatcher (groin) and Bradie James (knee) all attended practice. Hatcher was getting some early rehab work with Tony Ollison, the assistant strength and conditioning coach.

Wide receiver Kevin Ogletree, who missed Thursday's practice with a back injury, has returned. He was fielding punts on the scout team.
Calvin Watkins joined ESPNDallas.com in September 2009. He's covered the Cowboys since 2006 and also has covered colleges, boxing and high school sports.
