We have a short week and that's OK, because the Cowboys 3-7 season doesn't give you much time to celebrate the victory. Dallas beat Detroit 35-19 for its first two-game win streak of the season.

With that we get to our weekly Stock Report of who is playing well and who isn't.

Stock Up

Mat McBriar. Did any punter have as good a day as McBriar on Sunday? Nick Harris had three punts inside the 20 and two touchbacks. One punt was returned for a touchdown. McBriar? He had two touchbacks a net average of 46.3 and a 58 yarder.

Bryan McCann. The rookie from SMU has been fantastic this season, well in the brief time he's played. Another touchdown for McCann, this one on a punt return, 97 yards. When he gets in the open field he's one of the toughest players to stop on the team.

Paul Pasqualoni. The new defensive coordinator has turned the Phillips 3-4 into Coach P's 3-4. The Cowboys are not blitzing as much and playing more zone coverage. Who says you need to blitz to get pressure. The Cowboys had three sacks, eight quarterback hurries and six tackles for loss in the win.

Stock Down

Offensive line. As a unit the running game rushed for 134 yards with one touchdown, which is strong. The line, however, struggled with its penalties. Doug Free with a false start, Leonard Davis with a hold in the end zone, leading to a safety and Marc Colombo with two fourth quarter penalties, a holding and false start. Got to clean this up.

Jason Garrett. The interim coach gets credit for turning things around at Valley Ranch but he made an interesting play call late in the first half. Instead of taking a knee with 48 seconds left, he ran a play and Felix Jones fumbled which turned into a touchdown for the Lions. Did Garrett learn anything from the Redskins game?

Cowboys Stadium. It was pretty quiet, at least from the press box point of view on Sunday. There were a few empty seats, not a lot but a few, it seems this place has been a little too quiet for home games. Does the record have something to do with it?
