ARLINGTON, Texas -- The last time Cowboys fans saw Flozell Adams in person he was limping off the field in the 2009 NFC divisional playoff game with a calf injury. He did not return in that game.
But Adams is back with the Steelers and he was injured with 3:20 to play in the first quarter with a left shoulder injury.
Adams was hurt on an interception return for a touchdown by Nick Collins. Adams was knocked down near the goal line as Collins dove into the end zone for a touchdown that gave the Packers a 14-0 lead.
Adams, who played only seven snaps, was replaced by Trai Essex.
Earlier in the week, it was Essex who gathered the offensive linemen together to wear the old school Michigan State jersey of Adams. It was a tribute to Adams who attended Michigan State, before he was drafted by the Cowboys.
Adams said he was honored to have his teammates wear his college jersey.
Update: Adams missed just six snaps and returned at the start of the second quarter.
