Broaddus Breakdown (viewed Temple, William & Mary and Richmond games): Started at left tackle for the Wildcats. Long arms and frame. Nice set away from the line. … More hand placement than punch. Does not extend his arms. Is a catcher. Allows the defender to get to his body. … Doesn’t have the quickest feet. Is an upright player. Straight legs. Doesn’t bend all that well. … Athletic enough to get in space. Can find the target and sustain his block. … Tries to overpower his defender with size. Gets away with it more against William & Mary and Richmond. Struggled more against better competition with Temple. … In the running game with latch on then just push, short, choppy steps to get movement. Shows some initial quickness off the snap. Gets more movement on the edge in the running game than blocking one on one. … Gave much better effort blocking in the William & Mary game than the others. There were times where I wondered if his motor ran all the time. Other tackles I viewed did a much better job of playing hard all the time. … Raw talent that is not as far along as the other tackles. Will need some serious technique work but has the frame and the athletic ability. … Don’t feel that he is as ready to play now as Tyron Smith, Anthony Castonzo, Gabe Carimi or Nate Solder are. Teams late in the first round will take a shot at him because of potential.
