Tony Romo's team wins Adams Pro-Scratch
Romo and Walker entered Tuesday’s second round with a three-stroke lead and were able to extend it with birdies at Nos. 2, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15 and 18. The pair’s only bogey came on No. 16. Romo shot a 66 on his own ball with eight birdies and two bogeys. He closed with a birdie on the par-5 18th hole for the second straight day, hitting a 3-wood 250 yards into the green for the two putt.
Philip Bleakney and Greg Boots finished second at 13-under.
For those upset about the state of and talk about Romo’s golf game, the Cowboys will have their first on-field football workouts because of the lockout as a team in the next few weeks. And the last time he and Walker won this tournament, the Cowboys went 11-5 and won the NFC East and a playoff game.
