IRVING, Texas -- A few hours after the Cowboys put together the photo op for Tyron Smith to hold his No. 77 jersey for the first time, while being flanked by Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones and Jason Garrett, the rookie first-round pick was back at school.
While picks in the second and third round were flying off the board Friday, offensive line coach/running game coordinator Hudson Houck was standing in the offensive line meeting room, going over the basics with Smith about the Cowboys’ offense.
It could be the last time in a long time the Cowboys are able to communicate with Smith because of the temporary stay that was granted Friday. Should the NFL win in the appellate court, then the lockout is back on at full throttle.
