Broaddus Breakdown (viewed Kansas State, Illinois State and Murray State games): Is projected as a guard in the NFL, but would not be one bit surprised if he plays center at some point in his career. He is that good of an athlete. … Was a starter 44 straight games at Missouri State, playing right guard for most of his first three seasons and left tackle as a senior. One of my favorite players that I got to study for the Cowboys. Showed nice initial quickness off the snap and into his blocks. Light on his feet. Can bend and adjust on the move. Do not see him on the ground unless he is taking his man to it. … Relentless effort and desire. Will play to the whistle and a little beyond. Tries to destroy his opponent’s will to compete. … Does a nice job of getting away from the line on his pass set. Head back, shoulders square, kicking for proper depth and width in the pocket. Is more of a hand-placement blocker than a punch-stab type. Has the feet and the footwork to stay with his man to mirror and adjust. Some over-extension but not enough to say it’s a problem area for him. Will need to develop some lower body strength to anchor down on his man and handle a "bull rusher." … Some narrow base as a run blocker when he is locked up one-on-one. Really fights to finish his block. … Athletic enough to play on the second level and adjust to the moving target. Did not see him off balance when on the second level. … Is a downfield blocker on the backside. Tremendous effort to try and get that second block. Impressive in his ability to hustle downfield and be a factor as a blocker. … Made a tackle on an interception by hustling downfield and making the play in the open field. Love his toughness and athletic ability.
