Jason Hatcher to visit the Broncos

July, 28, 2011
SAN ANTONIO -- The Cowboys lost one of their free agent defensive ends in Stephen Bowen on Thursday, and it appears Jason Hatcher is slipping away.

Hatcher, who played in 13 games last season, will visit the Denver Broncos on Friday. Hatcher turned down a contract offer from the Cowboys recently in the hopes of getting a bigger deal elsewhere.

Last season, Hatcher finished with just one sack, two quarterback pressures and was credited with 17 total tackles.

Defensive end Marcus Spears is also a free agent, but spoken with team officials about a new deal.

When asked would the Cowboys fill some of their holes like safety and defensive end, team vice president Stephen Jones said, "Yeah, not in the next day, but this is a process."
