SAN ANTONIO -- As sharp as Tony Romo was in Sunday’s Blue-White scrimmage, he might have been sharper in Monday’s practice.
Romo completed 18 of 21 passes in team and 7-on-7 drills with two touchdown passes to Miles Austin and one each to Martellus Bennett and Jason Pociask. In Sunday’s scrimmage he completed 14 of 20 passes with three touchdown passes.
He also had a positively Romo moment when he pumped to his left and while under pressure from the defense flicked the ball to Bennett for a short gain.
“We’re putting a lot in so some days certain things aren’t great against certain coverages and you don’t game plan anybody,” Romo said “We just need to execute day in and day out and I think the guys are starting to pick up on it and make less mistakes. I’ve just got to keep throwing the ball well.”
