Injuries: Danny McCray hurts shoulder

ARLINGTON -- Safety Danny McCray injured his left shoulder while trying to tackle Denver quarterback Tim Tebow on Thursday night. McCray is fine but it's doubtful he'll practice Saturday.

Tight end Martellus Bennett was a late scratch on Thursday because of a hamstring injury. Coach Jason Garrett said Bennett is day-to-day.

There is some good news on the injury front.

Center Andre Gurode (knee) and nose tackle Jay Ratliff (hip) are expected to practice Saturday and if there are no setbacks, they should play vs. San Diego on August 21.

"I think initially we expect Andre Gurode and Ratliff to practice with us," Garrett said. "The other guys are still going to work their way back through their rehab next week, and [I] don't necessarily anticipate any of those guys being able to play in San Diego as I stand here [Thursday night]."

Among the injured: Kai Forbath (quad), Teddy Williams (hamstring), Mike Jenkins (stinger), Tashard Choice (calf), DeMarco Murray (hamstring), Terence Newman (groin), Keith Brooking (hamstring), Bruce Carter (knee), Montrae Holland (back), Titus Ryan (foot).

"We'll see how they do," Garrett said. "They all have injuries that we think it's better to give them a little more time rather than a little less time. So hopefully we'll make some progress next week and take it day by day and see where they are."
