Former Cowboys guard Leonard Davis visited the Detroit Lions on Wednesday.

Davis doesn't have any more visits scheduled.

Offensive line coach Hudson Houck said a few days ago he was surprised Davis hadn't been signed by an NFL team. Marc Colombo, another Cowboys offensive linemen who was released when the lockout ended, signed with the Miami Dolphins and is playing right tackle.

Davis is open to a return to the Cowboys but only if he can't find a good deal with a new team. But with the Cowboys committed to using younger players such as David Arkin and Phil Costa at left guard, it's doubtful the team would bring Davis back.
Calvin Watkins joined ESPNDallas.com in September 2009. He's covered the Cowboys since 2006 and also has covered colleges, boxing and high school sports.
