ARLINGTON, Texas --Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin has a sore hamstring and did not attend Wednesday morning's walkthrough. Austin had missed some practice sessions last week with a tight hamstring, and he also missed the second preseason game vs. San Diego.

Austin had practiced Tuesday afternoon.

Kevin Ogletree and Dez Bryant ran with the first-team offense.

Also, Cowboys linebacker Kenwin Cummings had minor surgery on right thumb to relieve pressure of a severe bruise.

Cummings was wearing a cast during the Wednesday morning walkthrough and he's day-to-day.

Cummings is leading the Cowboys in tackles with nine through two preseason games. Of his nine tackles, seven have been solo.
Calvin Watkins joined ESPNDallas.com in September 2009. He's covered the Cowboys since 2006 and also has covered colleges, boxing and high school sports.
