Injuries: Tyron Smith, Mike Jenkins limited

IRVING -- The first injury report of the 2011 season is out, and starting cornerback Mike Jenkins and starting right tackle Tyron Smith are limited because of knee injuries.

Jenkins suffered his knee injury in the early portions of practice Wednesday, and Smith hyperextended his knee at the back end of practice.

Cornerback Terence Newman (groin) and tight end Martellus Bennett (ankle) did not practice.

"If they let me play, I'll play," Bennett said. "I don't know what the plan is. I've played with worse things. I'm not worried about next week, I'm trying to play this week."

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones ruled out Newman because of his injury.

Miles Austin (hamstring), Phil Costa (knee) and Bradie James (ankle) were limited in practice.

As for the Jets, starting fullback John Conner (ankle) was limited in practice.

Among the notable injuries: Wide receiver Plaxico Burress (ankle) was a full participant along with cornerback Darrelle Revis (hip) and wide receiver Derek Mason (knee).
